Scottish spirits retailer Craft56° and Glasgow based Sugarsnap Chocolate & Confectionery have collaborated to launch an exciting new advent calendar for this festive season.
Proving that naughty can still be nice, they’re combining two sinfully tasty treats in Scottish gin and artisan chocolate, to create a must-have item for all chocoholic gin fans this Christmas.
Craft56°, which was launched by Glaswegian Ally Hardy in 2017, champions Scottish products and works with independent, small-batch producers to offer a wide selection of Scottish craft spirits in their online bottleshop.
Teaming up with fellow Glaswegian entrepreneur Annette Smith, founder of Sugarsnap, the duo decided to use their shared passion for craft products to create a unique advent calendar that would appeal to craft gin and chocolate fans alike.
The innovative product pairs white, milk and dark chocolate with Scottish gin (as well as other locally produced craft spirits) to create a range of beautiful handmade bon bons with alcohol-infused ganache fillings.
Each advent calendar will have at least 12 different flavours and features brands including Makar, UWA Tequila, McLean’s Gin, Sugar House Rum & many more.
Ally Hardy, Director of Craft56° said: “We’re excited to launch our advent calendar as it’s perfect for everyone who loves a quality chocolate as much as they enjoy a Christmas tipple.”
Always looking to experiment with new flavours, Annette from Sugarsnap added: “Working with local craft drinks is a real opportunity for Sugarsnap to showcase the beautiful and delicious products available in Scotland right now.
There are so many small-batch producers and it’s an honour to pair them with a carefully crafted artisan chocolate.”
