Glasgow Gift Card to drive summer spending across the city.
Glasgow’s first citywide gift card is set to hit the streets thanks to restaurant group Rusk & Rusk and Glasgow Taxis Ltd.
In this first stage of giveaways, a team of Glasgow Taxi volunteers will be hitting the streets of Glasgow on Wednesday 11th July, to prize 3,000 Glasgow Gift Cards to some lucky locals.

Accepted in more than 80 businesses, the Glasgow-wide gift card is a prepaid Mastercard that can be spent at the city’s leading restaurants, shops, attractions and now, in more than 800 Glasgow Taxis!
Chairman Stephen Flynn stopped by Hutchesons City Grill in a brand new electric cab to accept payment for a taxi trip from leading restaurateur, Louise Rusk, of hospitality group Rusk & Rusk.
The multi award-winning restaurant group is the latest to join up to the scheme and the card is now accepted in all their dining spaces, including The Butchershop Bar & Grill, Hutchesons City Grill, The 158 Club Lounge and The Spanish Butcher.
Created and supported by Scottish Enterprise.
The Glasgow Gift Card provides the perfect present, with consumers being able to discover and enjoy the best of Glasgow with one handy card at their fingertips.
Louise Rusk of Rusk & Rusk said: “The Glasgow Gift Card is a gateway to incredible independent experiences, and we’re excited to part of a scheme which provides customers with endless choice.
“Users of the card can discover cocktails in The 158 Club Lounge, have brunch at our Summer Series events in Hutchesons or sip cava in the stylish surroundings of The Spanish Butcher – the choice is yours.”

Speaking on behalf of the Glasgow Taxis Ltd. executive committee, chairman Stephen Flynn said: “We are always looking for ways to make it easier for our customers to find their way across the city and this payment option is a welcome addition.
“We love the fact that a tourist can explore the city; enjoy a cocktail in Finnieston then hop in a cab to a top restaurant all with one gift card.
Working like other gifting schemes, the card is a prepaid Mastercard and the balance can be spent on any businesses that are signed up to the scheme. Just choose an amount online at www.glasgowgiftcard.com and the loaded gift card, and it will be sent out by post ready for spending.
Raising Glasgow’s global profile as a must-visit destination.
