RAMEN DAYO OPENS 2ND RESTAURANT IN FINNIESTON!
Introducing the first izakaya-style private dining experience in Glasgow…
The team behind Ramen Dayo are set to launch their 2nd Glasgow restaurant on Argyle Street in Finnieston on Saturday, 11th February 2023.
Beginning as a pop-up in a traditional yatai ramen cart in a small alleyway by Glasgow Central station in 2016, Ramen Dayo quickly gained popularity and moved into Ashton Lane in 2018. It has built a loyal following ever since and now they’re going back to their roots.
Yōkochō Style Eating & Drinking Alley

1126 Argyle Street (formerly Alchemilla) has been transformed into a late-night Yōkochō style eating and drinking alley – transporting guests to the back streets of Tokyo for an authentic Japanese dining experience.
The restaurant spans 3 levels, with each area sure to give you a different feel each time you visit. A selection of vintage enamel signs and light boxes have been sourced from Japan, reminiscent of the Shōwa era, and neon signs will light up every corner of the restaurant, adding to the downtown feel.
Izakaya-Style Private Dining Area

Downstairs has been transformed into a traditional izakaya-style private dining area – a first for Glasgow – with 3 separate rooms each sitting up to 10 people. This downstairs area will be available to hire out to larger parties of up to 20.
The opening food menu will be the same as Ramen Dayo’s sister restaurant on Ashton Lane with regular specials and seasonal menu rotation to follow. The nine-strong ramen menu will sit alongside a selection of rice bowls, sides, gyozas and homemade Japanese sweet treats – with ingredients retaining Ramen Dayo’s focus on quality and provenance.

With a late licence, Ramen Dayo in Finnieston will also be serving up an extended drinks menu – curated by head bartender, Lauren Patrick, in collaboration with Dark Art Drinks. There will also be regular live DJ sets to keep the good times going until late.
